Ketamine with your prescriber. Psychotherapy + integration with us.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is an evidence-informed treatment used for trauma, depression, and anxiety that have not fully responded to traditional therapy.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) works differently because you work differently. Before ketamine sessions, we prepare you mentally and emotionally. On the same day, we provide integration therapy to help you process what comes up. Afterward, we continue integration support so insights translate into lasting change. This is therapy that helps the work hold.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is used for trauma, PTSD, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and chronic pain when traditional therapy has not created enough movement.
Ketamine can open windows of neuroplasticity and emotional access. But without preparation and integration, those windows close without lasting change.
We help you prepare mentally and emotionally, stay supported during treatment, and integrate what emerges into your real life. This is how ketamine becomes therapy, not just an experience.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy follows a three-phase structure: preparation, same-day therapeutic support + integration.
We clarify intentions, address concerns, and build grounding skills so you feel oriented and supported going into your sessions.
When clinically appropriate, we provide therapeutic support aligned with dosing and structured same-day integration. We help you process what emerged, stay grounded, and identify practical next steps.
We process what emerged, connect insights to your life, and develop practical ways to apply what you learned. Integration is where change becomes sustainable.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not about dramatic breakthroughs. It is about steadier access to yourself and greater capacity to navigate your life. Outcomes vary, and progress depends on readiness, safety, and fit.
These are not guarantees. They are common patterns when the work is a strong fit.
We provide psychotherapy support. Your prescriber manages medication, dosing, and medical oversight. We work collaboratively with your medical team.
If you don't yet have a prescriber, we can help you explore options.
One option to exploreKAP is delivered in collaboration with a licensed ketamine prescriber. If you do not yet have one, we can provide referrals.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is part of ongoing therapy. It is not a one-time session or a quick fix. Lasting change requires preparation, support, and integration over time.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy at PAAPOY is designed for adults who have not found sufficient relief through traditional therapy or medication alone. This includes people navigating treatment-resistant depression, complex trauma, chronic anxiety, and chronic pain conditions where psychological and physical symptoms are deeply intertwined. Many of our clients are high-functioning professionals, caregivers, or individuals whose capacity to manage has masked the severity of what they carry. Whether you are exploring KAP for the first time or continuing work you have already begun with a prescriber, our approach is structured, collaborative, and grounded in clinical evidence. We accept Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and also work with private pay clients. Sessions are available via telehealth across New York State, with limited in-person availability in New York City.

Maybe you can name exactly what happened. Maybe you cannot. Either way, something is not moving.
You have tried to manage it. Therapy, self-work, sheer willpower. Some of it helped. None of it finished the job.
KAP serves clients in different places. Some have done years of therapeutic work and reached a ceiling. Others are navigating chronic pain, treatment-resistant depression, or conditions where traditional approaches have not provided enough relief. What they share is readiness, not a specific history.
This is not a shortcut. It requires preparation, a strong therapeutic relationship, and a willingness to stay present with what surfaces. But for the right client at the right time, it creates movement that was not available before.
If any of this sounds familiar, a consultation is a good place to start. No commitment. Just an honest conversation about whether KAP is the right fit for where you are right now.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is billed as standard psychotherapy sessions.
