Why PAAPOY Exists

PAAPOY was built on a simple belief: your anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress are not personal failings. They are often rational responses to real conditions, such as workplace harm, identity-based barriers, or systems that demand more than anyone should bear.

Many people are not in crisis. They are exhausted. They are managing, functioning, and showing up, while something inside them continues to sound the alarm.

How We Work

Our approach combines evidence-based trauma therapies with a structural lens. Your nervous system responses are logical reactions to real pressures, not defects to be fixed.

In sessions, we move at a pace that respects your body and your capacity. Sometimes that means focused trauma processing through EMDR or KAP. Other times, it means making sense of workplace harm, family patterns, or how a tech-saturated world is affecting your sleep, focus, and sense of connection.

We always return to the same question: What helps you feel more grounded and more free to choose your next steps?

About the Founder

PAAPOY was founded by a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) based in New York with more than 10 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, PTSD, workplace harm, and complex life transitions.

Clinical training includes EMDR therapy, Somatic Experiencing, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and psychodynamic therapy. We provide care for clients throughout New York State, with limited in-person availability in NYC.

What shapes this work most is a lived understanding of layered pressure, high-responsibility roles, structural barriers, and systems that reward overextension. This is not theoretical. It is designed to be useful in your actual life.

The practice is growing intentionally. Over time, PAAPOY will expand to include carefully selected clinicians who share this approach and standard of care.
